We've tried and tested it...
Whilst it's possible to turn on certain light bulbs with certain voice control units and do some other basic tasks the tech just isn't ready for mainstream yet. There are many issues but we feel the main ones are : 1) There isn't a widely accepted protocol allowing voice software to control devices. Therefore you have to rely (in the most part) on companies to develop the software for "voice controller A" to control "device B". This means that the compatibility is very limited. 2) As of yet, the market isn't big enough to have the depth of products yet. It will be... but not yet 3) The third is there isn't a clear leader in terms of product. Amazon appear to be winning but expect the behemoths of Apple, Mircrosoft, Google and Samsung to fight it out. The lack of an established technology makes it very difficult to justify the financial investment
